JENNIFER LOWRANCE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In April of 2005, Jennifer Lowrance ("Jen") was quite
busy managing a very large 30th anniversary party for a Houston oil company
at the Museum of Natural Science. That’s when she met Bill Mahler—who
owns the property that Briscoe Manor occupies. After her July wedding and a
much-needed honeymoon, Jennifer returned a call from Bill’s assistant.
By that fall, she found herself working very closely with Bill, and his son
Jorden, on plans for Briscoe Manor and everything from the exterior aesthetics
to the interior design. She and Jorden labored tirelessly in a cold barn as
a makeshift office, equipped with a stainless picnic table and a wireless Internet
card. But by the fall of 2006, Briscoe Manor was successfully up and running.
The Texas A&M grad spent several years prepping for her role at Briscoe
Manor: She served as a collegiate marketing consultant, an outside sales representative
for C.C. Creations and as Lead Events Coordinator and Catering Manager for
The Chef’s Table at Houston’s own Bella Terrazza. There she hosted
10-12 weddings and special events per month (some weekends occupying four to
five consecutive weddings) and produced more than 700 events during a near-four
year period. Her professionalism and attention to detail comes from hosting
guests on a variety of reception floors—Jennifer is known to her clients
as both a dynamic coordinator and a gracious host.
A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Jennifer spends her rare down time traveling
or entertaining family and friends with her husband and new baby boy! She also
produces independent events for private clients in both the Houston and Texas
arena. But her heart lies with her role at Briscoe Manor, overseeing events,
business operations and branding their venue into a legendary location!

JORDEN MAHLER, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
For Jorden Mahler, Briscoe Manor started out as a drawing—on a cocktail
napkin during a flight to Vegas, to be exact. The preliminary plans were then
followed by a lunch receipt sketched with architecture and building ideas for
the rustic limestone venue. Jorden and his father, Bill Mahler, sought to establish
a business that would continue the successful, long standing roots of Fort
Bend County’s Briscoe family.
After graduating from Texas State University in 2004, Jorden began meeting
with contractors and builders to create Briscoe Manor. Flipping land from original
ranch acres roamed by cattle—all belonging to the Briscoe family since
1835—proved a tough challenge. But Jorden and his father, both natives
of the Katy/Richmond area, worked hard to produce what is now a professional,
full-service event venue. Jorden also worked closely with Jennifer Lowrance,
Briscoe’s executive director and co managing partner, to produce a very
detailed and quite successful marketing campaign to launch the event venue.
An avid hunter in his spare time, Jorden spends most of his days prepping Briscoe
Manor for weekend events and maintaining the property, as well as participating
in client/vendor meetings and promoting the company’s future.

LESLI HIRSH, EVENT & SALES COORDINATOR
A former Briscoe Manor bride, Lesli Hirsh fell in love with the serene, Texas
countryside retreat long before joining its team. The Texas Christian University
grad brings an added perspective to her position as events and marketing coordinator
thanks her to days as a bride as well as prior work with Nordstrom and David
Yurman in Houston. With family roots embedded deep in the Richmond/Rosenberg
area, Lesli performs web site management, maintains vendor relations and coordinates
everything from tours to bookings to event execution. (She admits her organization
skills often find her the designated planner for friend and family gatherings,
too!) It’s important to Lesli to stay up on current trends and services,
so she attends a number of industry-related events and also builds and strengthens
vendor relationships in order to provide clients the best event experience
possible.

STEPHANIE COKER, EVENT & SALES COORDINATOR
A native of Frankston, Texas, Stephanie Coker received her Bachelor of Science
in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Business minor from Texas State University
in 2004. After graduation, she moved to Poynor, Texas—near her
home town—to teach first-grade for a year. Next, she was off to Laguna
Beach, California, where she earned her Interior Design certification and worked
for a high-end interior designer. During the last part of her stay in The Golden
State, Stephanie returned to her first calling: teaching first-grade.
Until this past August, Stephanie has enjoying teaching first-grade in Katy ISD
back in Texas. Today, Stephanie is now a part of the growing family at
Briscoe Manor. With her love for planning, design and creativity, Stephanie
brings many unique variables to the team and helps Briscoe brides create their
dream weddings.
Learning as she goes, Stephanie enjoys every minute of her time spent in this
special line of work. When she’s not at Briscoe Manor, she loves to cook,
spend time with family and playtime with her dog, Tye, as well as work on her
interior design skills, like stamping and design new things for her house. Stephanie
also likes to spend her free time traveling, visiting wineries and snow boarding.
